My Role in NHS
As a Junior Representative and Scholarship Coordinator of my school's chapter of NHS, I answered emails, created slideshows, ran around the school organizing supplies for our meetings, and led board meetings. I served as the liaison between the club and our advisor, updating the board on what needs to be done and what our current obstacles are. The leadership skills I gained through NHS has helped immensely with my current leadership roles as Co-president of Speech and Debate, Science Bowl, and Science Olympiad.
Managing the Largest Club at My School
With over 200 active members, we were hit pretty hard by COVID. All of our meetings went online, and as a result, the feeling of community slowly diminished. Adapting to this change was difficult, but I'm proud to have helped restore our presence and community within the school. Community service remains my main motivator so I'm extremely happy to see the club thrive again, and I can't wait for what's to come my senior year.
